| Purpose |
Work one-on-one or with a group of students ranging from the elementary level through high school with their homework. Reinforce skills being learned by the students. |
| Responsibilities |
- Help students finish homework, review for tests, assist with projects. Students may need help with math, spelling, reading, grammar, social studies, etc.
- Read a book with a student and read silently along with students. When the chapter or book is finished, ask questions about what was read.
- Brainstorm for writing assignments.

| Skills and Qualities Needed |
- Comfortable and patient with children.
- Creative.
- Ability to help students without doing their homework.
- Ability to work independantly or as a team member.

| Amount of Time Required |
From 1 to 2 hours per week for a minimum of 14 hours, during the school year. |
| When Service is Performed |
Monday through Thursday between 3:30-5:30 p.m. (Scheduled as needed by the students.) |
